Actively petition and encourage Congress to repeal the 17th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.

Created by J.C. on November 12, 2012

The Constitution created the two governing bodies of Congress to represent the Citizenry in the House and the States in the Senate. The 17th Amendment which changed the election of Senators from State elected to popular election severely reduced the rights of the States at the federal level. Today, the Senate has shown time and again that they do not work the will of the States, rather the will of their respective parties.
Like Prohibition, the 17th Amendment was a good experiment that has failed. It's time to now to repeal it.
