Actively prosecute State Gov'ts that erect new barriers to Voting in violation of The Voting Rights Act of 1965

Created by K.M. on September 24, 2011

The GOP is engaging in every form of gerrymandering possible while erecting barriers to the voting rights of American citizens. Voter ID laws constitute an Undue Burden on people who don't drive, or don't have the money to spare for a DMV ID. In addition to this certain governors are engaging in deliberate tactics to enact Voter ID laws that require people to fill out forms, pay fee's and get to DMV officers that are miles away from thier homes. This is discriminatory in nature and is likely in violation of The Voting Rights Act of 1965 (42 U.S.C. §§ 1973–1973aa-6)[1]
