Over 30 years have passed since this proposed amendment has been up for ratification, yet over half of the nation's populace (that being women) do not have an explicit guarantee from the U.S. Constitution that they have the same rights as men.
It is time for this administration to take a stand in support of equal rights for all by pushing for the second congressional passage of this amendment (specifically H.J. Res. 56), and by doing so affirming that the rights of people cannot be infringed upon based on a difference in their gender.
