As the human population continues to increase, it is critical that the United States start implementing environmental policies that will counteract and minimize the negative effects on the environment. It is vital to human survival that we begin to acknowledge the importance of sustainable resource management and utilizing renewable energy sources. It is crucial that all elements of environmental conservation be address including: air and water pollution, waste reduction, and renewable energy sources. This can be accomplished by both regulation as well as increased awareness.
