After signing a few of these petitions and having the critical mass of signatures occur, all that seems to have happened is email from the White House restating already existing policy, indeed, this is oddly counterintuitive considering these petitions are intended to influence and change existing policy. I feel that many of the signatories of any of these petitions are dumbfounded by the apparent deaf ear that this outcome would suggest. I think we all feel that, at very least, looking into the topic further would be at the result of our efforts.
