Actually listen to and consider the opinions of petitions here and not just tell us we're wrong and it won't change.

Every time a petition makes its way through this system, a member of the administration responds. Those responses are always boilerplate position statements and do not both to take into account the concerns of the petition at all. Instead they simply say "you're wrong, we're right." This is not the two-way conversation nor is it the receptiveness of a well-listening government that we expected. The word "petition" means to ask for a change, not to ask for an explanation of what we already know -- and won't agree with, no matter how glibly you repeat it.
