After seeing the responses to different petitions, I feel that the answers given show that the opinions of all the people are not taken into consideration. For example, the petition on helping our farmers by growing industrial hemp was signed by over 20,000 people, but the response only dealt with the small amount of THC present. I understand that marijuana is a schedule 1 drug, but to label industrial hemp as such is taking the easy way out without actually considering the possibilities. I would like to see the White House not only read our words, but hear our voice. What good is it to have a page to voice our opinions if no attention will be paid to them to begin with? I would hope that our thoughts and ideas will be taken seriously and not fall on deaf ears.After all, we are the people.
