In order to receive more effective representation from our members of Congress, I ask that the members of the House introduce legislation that will limit Representatives to a maximum of two 2-year terms and Senators to one 6-year term. This eliminates long-standing incumbents, which hinders change and innovation, and requires that politicians enter service in the federal government for the purpose of representing their constituents rather than for a long-term political career. Much of the current political stalemate could be solved if members of Congress were more worried about the future of our nation than about re-election. This allows for an influx of new ideas and a broader base of potential Representatives and Senators, who can offer vastly more opinions and proposals.
