After applying for Affordable Health Care thinking I was going to get a better price on health insurance, the premiums presented to me were astronomical and NOT affordable. Premiums presented to me started at more than $600/month for me (age 58, female) and $178 for my 21 year old daughter! These premiums are the same quoted to me by health insurance companies before the affordable health care became law. This is not affordable nor has the premiums become more affordable and average middle class Americans cannot afford the affordable health care act and if we don't purchase the insurance with it's ridiculously astronomical premiums, we'll be taxed for not being able afford the insurance. This is unfair tax, unfair health insurance premiums being levied upon us.
