Politicians need to read and understand what the 2nd Amendment actually refers too. It should not be acceptable to turn on the news and hear career politicians say, "You shouldn't need an assault weapon for hunting".
The second amendment is no way, shape, or form about protecting the rights of hunters or even for home defense. The amendment is to keep the American people armed and ready so when our liberties are infringed upon by a tyrannical government the people will be able to defend themselves. The people would be fighting an out of control government with a well armed military, so I believe it is absolutely necessary for the public to be armed with AT LEAST "assault" rifles.
