It is important that the White House not create a platform which gives the public a voice, then ignore any popular petitions that are controversial to respond to.
It is not hard to write a 500 word response. The White House staff and the President owe it to the people of this country to explain why they are acting in the way they are, even if it is controversial or politically difficult.
Let's make the White House actually have a dialogue with its people.
