"Teen bulllying in our schools and society is now 'out' and a very controversial subject in homes, schools, states, and in national politics. Sadly, the reality is that we are losing too many of our young people to suicide as a result of being bullied and the lack of protection for certain classes of citizens that many do not consider as being 'normal'.
I STRONGLY feel compelled to start this petition to create legislation that bullying of anyone, regardless of their sexual identity, race, body type, color, place of origin, religion, or any other group commonly discriminated against be treated as a hate crime. Such legislation should be made applicable in every state and should include language that police and prosecuting attorney's must include the wordage 'hate crime' .
