Add a 15% sales tax to all items not manufactured in the US to increase revenues and encourage citizens to buy American

We would propose that a 15% sales tax be added to every purchase of goods not manufactured in the United States. This tax/tariff would not only bring in additional revenue for our country that could be used for a multitude of services but it would also encourage people to buy American made products which in turn will strengthen our economy by creating jobs here in our own country. We need to once again become a nation of producers, not the insatiable consumers that we are today.
