I believe that as commander of our military might, anybody that runs for this position ( president or vice-president, or anywhere in the chain-of-command that could replace the POTUS) should have a minimum of four years of service in any of our military branches. As he/she would have the power to command others to fight and possibly die for their country, then above mentioned person should have experience in being the person SENT to fight, as they'd probably make better judgment when it came to a matter of sending people to fight and die.
