to add armed security to schools in the US.

Created by T.L. on December 19, 2012

According to the National Center for Education Statistics, there were 98,817 public schools and 33,366 private schools during the 2009-2010 school year.

With the amount of reserve and active duty military members, we would like the President to look into the idea of having US Military security at our schools. This could assist in addressing multiple areas of concern in our society: veteran employment, school security, and several residual issues such as bullying, drugs in schools, and obviously the senseless acts of violence like the ones we have witnessed recently.

While this may not be practical, it may be more realistic than strengthening our nations gun control laws as a "knee-jerk" reaction to the atrocities that our society has endured.
