Add computer coding into the curriculum of K-12 schools.

I am a high school student currently attending a summer program at the University of California, Santa Barbara called RMP (Research Mentorship Program). I have noticed that many of the students here know how to code. It really comes in handy because many of the research projects that were offered here require the students to know how to code. I do not know how to code and there are many other students who don't know either. Our future relies heavily on computational skills that only some of our nations students know how to do. If we are taught early on about these programs and what they can do for us, we can make a change in the way students grow up with these skills and it could even push them towards a career in math and/or computational science.
