We need to protect our Police Officers. They are currently being targeted for crimes solely due to their occupation. Any violent crime that is committed against our police officers needs to now be included into the federal hate crime law. These men and women are sworn to protect society and when they themselves are made constant targets of violent crimes it make their jobs nearly impossible to do and it denegrates society as a whole. They protect us and WE the PEOPLE need to protect them and severely punish those that harm them.
