Include Economic Position and Property in our Legally Recognized Protected Classes

Created by A.J. on July 29, 2015

Race, color, religion, national origin, sex, disability and familial status are all legally recognized Protected Classes in the U.S. Excluded are any rights to protect the economically-challenged.

The United Nations addressed this issue in 2003 (sic): ”Parties should respect and ensure the rights (contained in their International treaty), without distinction of any kind such as: sex, race, color, language, religion or conviction, political or other opinion, national, ethnic or social origin, nationality, age, economic position, property, marital status, birth or other status.”

At the moment it is legal to deny equal housing based on the property you own. If you are tempted to dismiss this petition, imagine a restaurant telling you to park your less-than stellar vehicle around back.
