Add "Expanded" Life Skills to Core Curriculum! Social Skills, Money Management, First Aid, Repairs, Finding a Job, etc.

Created by D.D. on February 13, 2016

Many skills need to be learned in order to develop into a well-rounded person, prepared for everyday life. Sadly, many of these mandatory skills are not taught where they would be most accessible: schools. Because of this, many teens and young adults are overwhelmed by new challenges as they enter the "Real World". The subject of "Expanded" Life Skills should be added to Core Curriculum, K-12, and include these topics:
social skills, a second language, physical/mental health, first aid, learning from mistakes, helping others, survival, personal development, sociology, cooking, sewing/repair, time management, money management, filing taxes, living on one's own, finding a job, voting, and forward thinking.
Kids aren't always taught these things at home. Please sign and enrich the future.
