Whether one agrees with former President Ronald Reagan's policies, one can't argue with the fact that Reagan was one of the United States' most influential Presidents. Among many other accomplishments, President Reagan ended the Cold War and combatted the spread of Communism, fueled an economic boom with Reaganomics, escalated the war on drugs, appointed the first women, Sandra Day O'Connor, to the Supreme Court, and reduced nuclear weapons with the INF. By sculpting President Reagan's face into the mountain along side Presidents Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln, and Theodore Roosevelt, we would not only be commemorating and remembering the life and achievements of President Reagan, but also would be creating construction jobs in South Dakota for our ever so slowly growing economy.
