With an increasing number of studies confirming the importance of education in the first 4 to 6 years of life, and the current economic dilemma faced by many families and single parents that most entry-level jobs pay less than the cost of daycare/preschool, it should be common sense that this "daycare doughnut-hole" be closed by encouraging Congress to expand the nation's current K-12 system to include free preschool for all children.
