Google Plus surpassed Twitter in January 2013 to become the second-most used social networking platform worldwide, but it continues to run into a lack of acceptance and the perception that it is a "ghost town" by non-users.
This is perpetuated even further by an institutional lack of interconnectivity options from webmasters that continue to provide "Share" buttons for Facebook and Twitter - but not Google Plus.
We know that you can't - and shouldn't - pass any sort of legislation that regulates what share buttons do and do not exist on other websites. What we are requesting is that you set the pace for the rest of the nation by including G+ share options on government owned/run websites where Facebook and Twitter share options already exist.
