Americans are losing jobs due to outsourcing and other greedy corporate practices such as hiring workers who are not citizens (often here only temporarily and willing to work for less which they then send back to their country.)
Labels on food and other products sold in the U.S. now provide information about materials, ingredients, calories, etc. but could also be expanded to include:
IDENTITY OF THE COMPANY'S CEO
MANUFACTURING LOCATION(S)
% of U.S. CITIZENS EMPLOYED and
THE NUMBER OR PERCENTAGE OF OUTSOURCED JOBS FORMERLY HELD BY AMERICAN CITIZENS.
This way we could hopefully influence policy with our purchases, stop companies from shipping jobs overseas, and give American citizens the jobs they need to survive.
