Price gouging on items such as gas, provisions, and hotel is grossly negligent and morally wrong by taking advantage of those trying to evacuate. Under current laws in Florida, a fine is the only punishment for violation. Adding the possibility for gross offenders would discourage business owners from taking advantage of those seeking safety or securing neccesary provisions to survive a storm.
