We, the LGBTs of the United States of America ask that we be treated and have the rights of average Americans in the sense that we have valid marital license to marry a man or woman based upon a persons own sexual preference. Since we are a democracy and not a theocracy, we ask not only to have the opportunity to marry any person we want, but to be able to have the federal benefits of regular marriages without any 'Christian' based anti-LGBT legislation keeping us from the happiness we all wanted as children. President Obama, in the 1950's, African-Americans had to use a separate bathroom, and 'domestic partnerships' are just the same. Discrimination will still happen in our unfair society for a long time, but making marriage available to everyone will be an amazing start.
