Add mandatory 200 character, fact-based briefs on ALL candidates who appear on ballots to voter's packets at the polls.

Created by M.A. on February 23, 2013

Voter's should know about every candidate listed on the ballots. Voting for council members and judges who have the ability to shape local and state law should be based on more than how a name sounds or if the candidate is an incumbent or not. All Federal, state, and local elections must give the people a right to know details about candidates asking for their vote.
To address this deficiency in the ballots, the Federal government should make it mandatory to include a brief 200 character entry which outlines facts about each individual candidate. Fairness demands the candidate draft their own entry. This entry should include accomplishments, goals, or other relevant history of the candidate and MUST be factually true and subject to approval following independent fact-checking.
