Food stamp recipients should begin paying for the sales tax on their food purchases. This way, they're not paying very much money and the money that they do pay is going to flow back into the already underfunded program. At a dollar or two sales tax per grocery bill, recipients could easily cover this as it is still reasonable. Then, this money can fun the food program as well as other government and state programs that need funding if there is spillover. At almost 47,000,000 Americans on food assistance, this would be a big help.
