We the people ask the federal government to Propose a new Administration policy:

Add the percentage of our daily diet of sugar we should be eating on nutrition labels

Created by D.T. on November 17, 2016

One of the leading causes of obesity in America is due to a high amount of sugar being consumed. The foods that we buy and eat give an amount number, but not a percentage number. Some foods have up to 200% our daily suggested sugar intake in just one meal. If we put the percentage on the nutrient labels, it could help with the obesity epidemic. If we eat too much sugar, it gets transformed into fat nearly immediately, causing many americans to gain weight. Even if something is "low fat", all they do is add more sugar, making it just as bad, if not worse for you.
