Recently, a forensics company in Utah fired two of its employees for being Obama supporters, because the company felt Obama's policies were negatively affecting their business. So they decided to punish these employees for their political affiliations. We already have Federal mandates for anti-discrimination policies that restrict employers from terminating employment due to race, age, gender, religion and sexuality. Political belief and affiliation should be added to that list. No one should be in jeopardy of losing employment over their political beliefs, whether those beliefs be far-right conservatism, moderate or extremely liberal.
