Add the prerequisite of political experience to hold the office of President

We the people believe that the position of President of the United States is not an entry level job. The leader of our country needs to be knowledgeable about the law, Constitution, and how this country is run. Someone who has never held a political office and/or does not hold a law degree is in no way prepared for the job, and has no business running for or holding the highest office in the land. We ask for the introduction of a new prerequisite in order to hold the office of President of the United States: that a candidate has served a minimum of one full term as an elected official; whether it be mayoral, gubernatorial, or congressional. This way we can attempt to ensure that the job is given to someone who has an understanding of, and is prepared for, what the job entails.
