I hear people all the time saying that things like video games, movies, TV shows are protected by the freedom of speech. Others I hear argue that they're protected by the freedom of press. To me, this is not the case, and those freedoms are limited to only certain forms of media, or certain things within a form of media. The freedom of speech protects what a TV show, video game, movie, song, or even Internet video says, while the freedom of press protects the information they relay, but there is nothing in the constitution protecting the actual content.
I submit that, in order to make sure that our creative freedoms are secured, we need a new amendment. One ensuring the freedom of media.
