On December 8th, 1999 after 4 weeks of testimony Loyd Jowers was found guilty, along with federal government agencies, of participating in a conspiracy that resulted in the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The implications behind both the verdict and the fact that this is not yet common knowledge after 16 years are staggering.
American citizens have a right to know that their own government, the government meant to protect and serve it's people, played a key role in the assassination of one of the greatest civil rights leaders in it's own history. A man who fought for the equal treatment of all American citizens was rewarded by his government with a bullet in his head.
