Add social and mental health awareness and peer-to-peer help tool classes to middle school curricula.

Created by J.C. on December 21, 2012

Mental issues develop from a young age. Too many incidents of young suicides and violence have led to personal and societal tragedies.

Very few of us have any knowledge of mental issues, much less how to recognize symptoms.

Teaching children at the earliest point in their lives to understand causes and symptoms mental health issues, as well as tools with which to assist their peers, can be the most useful learning we can impart to our young.

This is why we are asking that the Administration ask the Department of Education to create a middle school curriculum for mental well-being.
