add Speech Language Pathologists to federal loan forgiveness program

We petition the Obama administration to add Speech Language Pathologists to the federal loan forgiveness program (NHSC) first introduced by Rep Jo Ann Emerson n 2011 as HR 1426/ S.975. As Speech Language Pathologists (SLP) are required to obtain no less than a MA degree, college expenses can be extremely high. Forgiveness of these student loans will not only reduce financial strain on graduates, but will also encourage spending and investment.
