Add Tobacco to Schedule 1 of the Controlled Substances List Equivalent to Marijuana

Created by C.P. on October 28, 2011

Add tobacco as a schedule 1 controlled substance. Tobacco use has no benificial medical use and a very high addiction rate. It should be treated equivalent to marijuana. Businesses and people who use tobacco should be given a reasonable period of time to give up the drug and after that date, anyone not in compliance should be arrested and charged similar to marijuana law. Programs should be put into place to help addicts and to teach children the dangers and societal issues of tobacco use. A policy of arrest and education should erradicate this scourge of humanity as it has successfully done with marijuana.
