Adding a Common Sense clause to the U.S. Constitution

In light of the mass shooting in Orlando Florida, that left 49 people dead and 53 injured, I implore Congress to consider a Common Sense clause to either the 2nd Amendment or to the Bill of Rights overall. One need to only look at the style of weapon of choice used during mass shootings to realize that these are the weapons that are most readily available to the average citizen. Therefore, one would assume that civilian access to these guns be eliminated and possession to be illegal!
How many more shooting deaths by these weapons is Congress willing to allow? Enough was enough 132 mass shootings ago!
There is no law which states that the Bill of Rights can not be rewritten to support our current technology, weaponry or crime rate! A common sense clause needs to be implemented.
