I am a first generation college student in the state of Utah. I have qualified for a full fafsa and I have a gpa of 3.8 and an act score of 23. With my combined fafsa, academic scholarships, and my projected income from work study I still cannot afford to go to the cheapest 4 year college in the state (Dixie State University). I have no support coming from my family because of how little we make. There should be additional federal student aid for first generation students and students who have no financial support from their families.
