It has come to our attention with House Majority Leader Eric Cantor's release of the 113th Congress' calendar, that Congress will only be in session for 126 days in 2013.
As US taxpayers that fund their salaries and benefits, they would not be ENTITLED to a full-time salary with benefits for a part-time job. For example, in August, they will only be in session for two days. In January, November and December, they will only be in session for eight days for each of those months.
This is hardly conducive to getting work done for the American people. Considering how the GOP is looking for spending cuts, let's put their benefit cuts on the table for the 2013 calendar year.
