address and allocate resources to the massive Los Angeles county natural gas leak.

Created by N.M. on December 29, 2015

There is currently a massive natural gas leak in Los Angeles County. Methane, hydrogen sulfide, and known carcinogens are being released at a rate of 110,000 lbs/hr in Aliso Canyon, California. Public health is an immediate concern. Long term concerns include this event's contribution to climate change. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and the California Department of Toxic Substances Control has claimed to not be involved in the efforts to control this massive natural gas leak. We would like to see this issue be addressed, and see a larger government and state effort in mitigating damages.
