Address and enact sweeping reform in our federal prison system to combat violence, rape, and murder of American's.

Prisoners are subject to the most violent conditions in America. They are held in conditions against their will where violence, rape, and murder are commonplace. This is the brunt of many jokes and television shows. It is unconstitutional to deprive ANY citizen basic rights including safety and life regardless of crime. Sadly most turn a blind eye or believe they deserve those conditions because of an offense. Our prisons hold more people per capita than any other civilized nation. It is time we make a serious discussion about treatment and address this, before our government intervenes elsewhere in the world to protect non citizen human right's. Individual's convicted of felonies are often barred from voting, and have no voice while incarcerated. Our own silence equates to an agreement.
