On January 1, 2013, photographer Gary Stokes from the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society received a tip from an unnamed person about shark fins being laid out by the thousands on top of Hong Kong Rooftops. The prevailing theory is if it's out of sight, it's out of mind. So, moving from the sidewalks to the rooftops was a logical step, and allows the fins to dry faster without backlash from the public below. You can see the horrific pictures he took here:

We the undersigned are asking the Obama Administration to speak out against this horrible practice, and demand China take the necessary steps to curb its shark finning without delay.
