The U.S. Constitution has been an undeniable success no matter how you feel about the men who wrote it. The ideas they had for the future of the country were great despite their own personal shortcomings. One of the ideas they incorporated was an alternate method to propose amendments to the U.S. Constitution involving a convention. All we are saying is that technology has provided the electorate , that is you-the voter, the ability to be involved in an amendment process that is plainly written into the United States Constitution though a popular vote. In recent years politicians and elected officials have discussed using this option for their own causes and if it does not get addressed publicly the political class will render this safeguard useless for it's designed purpose.
