We the people want the President to publicly address the beating and possible hate crime of Steven Utash, a white man who was beaten nearly to death by a mob of black men in Detroit after doing the right thing by stopping and trying to render aid to a boy who ran out in front of Steven Utash's truck and was struck. President Obama has been known to involve himself in possible racially motivated cases of white on black crime well before the facts are out, for instance the Trayvon Martin case, where the president stated Trayvon could be his son. We want the President to give the same respect to Steven Utash and end the hate crime double standard. As of the creation of this petition Steven Utash remains in a medically induced coma with life threatening/altering injuries.
