Address child care assistance programs

Created by S.G. on November 11, 2013

Many people are working just to pay daycare. A good, safe daycare for 5 days will run about $100 a week. That's $400 a month. Someone making minimum wage would have a hard time making ends meet once you add in rent, insurance, car insurance, and food. With a cut in food stamp funding, families are really starting to feel the pressure. If a family cannot afford to work because daycare expenses, they end up not working and living on welfare. By funding daycare assistance programs, you allow student mothers and father's to go to college and get careers, and needy families can work and have some money to pay bills with to survive.
