The petition requests that the President address the community around Ferguson, MO and make the case that violence is not the answer, and that violence in the wake of the grand jury findings will not be tolerated.
The President should use his position as the head of our government to reinforce that the grand jury process was fair, and that the proceedings are part of our judicial system.
The President can uniquely articulate via his oratory skills that change can come in the form of peaceful activities and that violence is counter-productive to the community.
