Address the corruption in United States hospitals and insurance companies.

Created by S.R. on January 30, 2014

I am not sure if people are aware of the cost of medical care but we are paying too much.
The cost of an appendectomy is over $35,000 and over $3,500 for a CT scan. A friend spent six hours in the hospital due to a severe pain in his stomach, taking acid reducing medicine and morphine, as well as having some tests run for over $12,000.
It is also awful for mental health patients. The cost for a week in a mental hospital was over $25,000 and to be in a therapy program is over $100,000 and both were involuntary especially for adolescents. Therapists, hospitals, and mental health programs are taking advantage of that fact and making a lot of money on illnesses that for the most part are uncontrollable and permanent.
It is time to acknowledge and correct the corruption in hospitals nationwide.
