LGBT homeless youth is growing in this country, and it barely gets any attention. A study in 2012 by the Williams Institute found that 40% of homeless youth are LGBT, citing family rejection and being forced out by parents as the top 2 causes. We implore the Obama administration to find options of where action can be taken both legislatively and by executive action to help address this crisis. We also implore the Obama administration to make sure there are resources available in states for LGBT homeless youth.
