2 issues the President failed to address on the financial burden of student loan debt on our economy:
1. Require banks to amend refinancing terms for federally funded AND privately funded student loan debt that will accommodate those financially over-burdened with an Income Based Repayment Plan for ALL of their student loans. While the president addressed options for federal student loans, these options did not provide a solution the many people financially overburdened by private student loan debt. Private lenders do not accommodate repayment plans, nor refinancing options to consolidate private loans.
2. Credit Report forgiveness for any negative impact student loans have had on an individuals credit rating. Fairness for the exemption of bankruptcy for student loans.
