Address the execution of Troy Davis and take a firm stance against the death penalty.

Created by J.P. on September 23, 2011

Troy Anthony Davis was executed by the state of Georgia despite overwhelming doubt that he was guilty.

Seven of the nine witness that originally testified against Davis either recanted or changed their testimony. Even some of the original jurors that convicted Troy spoke out against his execution. The Pope, President Jimmy Carter, and many others lent their voices to stop this execution.

The world was watching when Troy Davis was executed and many Americans have lost faith in the criminal justice system and capitol punishment because of this.

There have been 273 post-conviction DNA exonerations in the United States. Of those, 17 were on death row.

Please address this issue and take steps to abolish the death penalty and reform the criminal justice system in the United State.
