Address Florida Governors removal of a sitting sheriff who is being persecuted for defending the second amendment

Created by F.F. on October 29, 2013

June 4, 2013, Sheriff Nick Finch, a sitting Sheriff of Liberty County, Florida, was arrested by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and prosecuted by his own State Attorney, Willie Meggs, for allegedly releasing a man charged with carrying a concealed firearm. Finch was charged with Official Misconduct, a third degree felony in Florida. Subsequently, Gov Scott suspended Finch without pay and replaced him with a campaign contributor of Meggs, Walter Money. Meggs offered to drop the charges against Finch if he resign, which he refused. Meggs then stated he would "go to war" with Finch to his attorney. Stand up for Sheriff Finch, the 2nd amendment, and elected office and address his removal with Gov Scott given the lack of evidence in the case and the clear political motives behind it!
